In his words
“No politics. Only traditional Taekwondo training.”
Our founder
Grand Master Han Wong.
The only Taekwondo Grand Master in the world to hold a 9th Dan black belt from five organisations.
Originally from Malaysia, Grand Master Han has given more than 50 years to Taekwondo. He came to the UK to study, made Edinburgh his home, and became a pioneer of WTF-style Taekwondo in Scotland. He earned his first black belt under the legendary Grandmaster Rhee Ki-ha and received awards from the late General Choi Hong Hi.
He has overcome cancer and still teaches and judges at the highest level. He founded Jidokwan and Changmookwan schools in India and the Philippines.
Lockdown stops every tournament. He starts the first online Taekwondo charity championship.
Three international championships, judged by certified referees and streamed live.
Athletes from 50+ countries, featured by 200+ publications worldwide.
Where your entry fee goes
100% of every fee goes to charity.
All of it, every time. We photograph every project and publish it, so every athlete can see exactly where their fee went.
Every project is photographed and shared publicly.
Food and essentials
Rice, oil, clothing and basics for families hit by floods and hardship. Our largest area of giving.
Education
School supplies, books, uniforms and fees for children whose families cannot afford them.
Medical and mobility
Wheelchairs, tricycles, blood drives and a sanitary pad bank for communities in need.
Fee waivers
We waive fees for athletes from countries where the entry fee would stop them taking part.
Honorary ambassador · India
Karimul Haque, the Bike Ambulance man.
Karimul turned his motorcycle into a free ambulance and has helped more than 5,000 people in rural Bengal reach medical care. His story has been told by TEDx, Al Jazeera and Great Big Story.
Today we are helping him build the first hospital in his village. Every tournament fee contributes.
